AUSSIE pop princess Delta Goodrem could see her pop career bubble over Stateside with an invite to appear on the Late Show With David Letterman.
A gig on the top-rating late-night talk show could be send Delta’s star sky-rocketing and the Aussie star – at Brisbane’s Carindale shopping centre for a store appearance yesterday – admits she is nervous about her September 22 appearance.

“I haven’t been on Letterman before so I am looking forward to it but it turns my stomach a bit to be honest,” she told Confidential.
“I get butterflies when I think about it. But it should be fun.”
Hopefully Delta’s appearance on the show fares better than her visit to the set of The View last month where she performed In This Life and chatted to the panel featuring Barbara Walters and Whoopi Goldberg.

But while the performance was broadcast, Delta’s sit-down with the ladies was left on the cutting-room floor.
“Hopefully if I go back on The View again I will get another chance to chat,” Delta said.
Also humming along nicely is Delta’s relationship with celebrity blogger Perez Hilton who last month lambasted the singer in his Aussie magazine column because he mistook her for a smoker.
Perez spied some cigarettes during a visit to Delta’s Los Angeles abode and later took her to task over the nasty habit – but the pair have since made nice.
“(The cigarettes) belonged to Dale my hair and make-up artist so I shot Perez an email and we had a laugh over it,” she said.
“We get along really well now. He’s great. He’s been really supportive.”
