Delta Goodrem will sing the national anthem at next week’s Grand Prix.
Goodrem will add star quality to the event – which is desperately needed after the cancellation of the celebrity race.
She is expected to be in Melbourne with her fiance, Brian McFadden.
The Grand Prix is the first major event to feel the effects of the global financial crisis.
Vodafone has cancelled its extravagant trackside marquee this year.
The company, however, will still throw an annual party to be held at Eureka bar on Saturday night.
Red Bull, a company famous for putting on million-dollar parties, is also downsizing and its trackside presence will not be as big as in previous years.
The last couple of years Mercedes-Benz has thrown its Star Lounge parties at Eureka, but this year it’s all at the track.
Mercedes-Benz will host a ladies’ lunch on Thursday and host a party after the race on Sunday.
Lewis Hamilton will attend the Tag Heur party at Bistro Guillaume on Thursday.
Guests who will be attending Sunday’s night’s party include Shane Warne, Michala Banas, Tim Campbell, Benjamin Hart, Angus Kennett, Hamish McLachlan, Naomi Robson, Jo Stanley, Brett Tucker, Rhys Ulrich and Kym Valentine.

Delta Goodrem looks set for a double celebration at the end of the year with her fiance, Brian McFadden, hinting the pair will marry in December.
“We’re looking at the end of the year, Christmas time, in Australia,” McFadden said in Ireland this week.
“During the next couple of weeks, we’ll definitely be setting a date.”
The pair have been engaged for more than a year.
McFadden has two daughters, Molly and Lily-Sue, to former wife Kerry Katona.
The singer arrived back in Australia yesterday morning and quickly caught up with Goodrem.
Goodrem became the proud owner of two tiny puppies this week and introduced the cute-as-pie balls of fluff to McFadden over breakfast.
The couple were totally absorbed by their new pups called Vail and Aspen, named after Goodrem’s favourite ski fields, as they strolled around Sydney yesterday.

Could Delta Goodrem be on the cusp of a renewed acting career – not in soapies but in the USA?
While her recording career is not exactly setting the world of fire, it is her personality and her presence that has got her noticed. In the Us, she was feted by fashion designers, including Zac Posen, who wanted her in his front row and talked up by the influential international blogger, Perez Hilton. more importantly, shes just secured an acting agent Jimmy Cundiff.
She was also reportedly amoung guests at a private bash for none other then Donald Trump, after an eailer outing at an Americian Vouge Party. With this kind of an entreee, a US acting careeer could be eaiser for her to crack then relying on her voice alone. Who knows? Perhaps Goodrems vulnerability and her delicate feautres could turn her into the perfect leading lady for Woody Allen?
In the mean time, her personal makeup artist Dale Dorning had created a special product just for her. Its a lipgloss that he calls Miss Delta.
Thanks to Rosey/Dad for finding this over @ DGOF.
