POP princess Delta Goodrem has been thinking green.
In Melbourne for the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards, she wants to end up covered in fluorescent goo.
“Its a privilege to get slimed,” she said after catching up with tonight’s co-hosts, Good Charlotte’s Joel and Benji Madden. “It’s an incredible honour.”
The trio will be joined by Miranda Cosgrove, star of the hit kids TV show iCarly, and a host of other celebrities including Guy Sebastian, Jessica Mauboy and Cassie Davis.
The awards, to be held at Hisense Arena, are Australia’s biggest live event for kids and attract more than 1.2 million votes.
Goodrem said it was great to be back in Melbourne, where she got her break on Neighbours.
“The energy feels very warm, exciting and everyone’s just buzzing,” she said. “I feel very at home in Melbourne.”
Kids all over Melbourne have been counting down sleeps to the awards, which are being held in Melbourne for the second time.

Don’t forget, Delta is hosting the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards Tomorrow! The Orange Carpet starts at 7:10pm (EST), while the main awards starts at 7:30pm (EST). You will need either Foxtel or Austar to watch the show on the Nickelodeon channel (701).
