Fans are in for a treat at Delta Goodrem’s Believe Again Tour performances early next year which will be packed full of effects and suprises that include special guests, singalongs and chats. The award-winning Australian singer-songwriter has chosen smaller venues for her first national Australian tour in over three years so she can be closer to the people who have bought her records.

“This time I just want to feel ultra-free because I do talk a lot on my shows when they’re more intimate and I do have a laugh and play around and I just think I wanted to establish myself as a live act here because it’s what I do best. I live for it!” Goodrem said.

Back in Australia after her first US album release, Goodrem is taking a break before returning to the US next month for “lots of big performances and TV shows”. “It’s very humbling, because you’re completely new,” she said. Goodrem will return to Australia in November to begin rehearsals for the Believe Again tour.

She described a typical tour day for ED!:

“I always like to make sure I sleep in on days that are performances because sleep is very, very, very important for my voice, then get up and have brekky or mid-morning lunch - I have a sweet tooth so maybe French toast or pancakes.” She then meets with the sound tech, warms up her voice and they do a sound check, rehearsing for a couple of hours. After cooling down her voice she likes to have a break for a few hours, maybe playing basketball or just sitting around outside, talking with the people on tour. Next, she has a long shower and washes her hair, heads to the venue to have her hair and make-up done, people come to wish her luck and she goes on stage.

While the next couple of months will be really hard work, she feels her reward will be doing the Australian tour in January and February. “I can’t wait… It’s like the treat for me is getting to do that. That’s when I get to me me; I really enjoy it.” Goodrem’s album Delta and new single I Can’t Break It To My Heart are available now.
